Taking the good wtih the bad ...

Aidan had a pretty good day today. Physical Therapy put him in the stander the first part of the day and then speech therapy worked with him. In between, Respiratory Therapy came in and actually put a Heat-Moisture Exchanger (HME) on Aidan's trach tube. They said he had a great response to it, which means we will be able to use that on him instead of the humidifier from time to time.

I had to leave at noon to get ready for an interview. I thought the interview went well, and they said I would hear something by 5PM today if I was going to go in for a second interview. Well, 5PM came and went with no calls from anyone other than the Social Worker. Guess I know where that job opportunity went.

Please keep up the prayers ... both for Aidan's recovery as well as my job hunt.

Thanks,
Russell

Job hunting is so stressful! Have you heard back yet?
How are you?

Walmart is hiring 700 in the IT area at the home office in Bentonville, AR. Not all of them live here. I can check and see what we have on the east coast. Pay is around 50-60 a year. More for you because of your masters. Let me know.

Michelle,

I don't have my Master's yet. Give me your email and I'll forward my resume to you.

Cindy,

I am doing as well as can be expected. I agree that job hunting is stressful.

It sucks when you have interviews and they love you, but then something happens to keep you from getting the job (this happens a LOT when going for contract positions). Or, how about you are told they need you to start ASAP but you can't because of "circumstances beyond your control".

I just keep looking at it as God is keeping me from a job until Aidan gets back home. I have to keep the faith that he will put me where He needs me when He needs me.

I can't even imagine having to look for work while going through this time. I wish I could help. My prayers are still going up to our Father.

Yes, it is very hard to look for a job when your mind is on your children's well-being. Right now, prayers are the best help that can be offered.

Trust in God, Russell, that He is leading you to the "right" job. When my husband was job hunting he became discouraged over not getting this one particular job (he's in insurance). Months later that same company that turned him down went out of business (it was a large company, too, so you wouldn't expect such a thing). Anyway, after that we realized God was protecting us by NOT giving my husband that job with that company!
God has a job waiting for you out there. He does indeed know the plans He has for you!
Meanwhile I'll keep praying for you, Erin and Aidan.
God's blessings,
Donna Mibus
